About me
My name is Arman Khosrowbeyk, a passionate artist with a diverse background in graphic design, photography, and interior design. Having showcased my art in various prestigious galleries and exhibitions, I am eager to take my artistic journey to the next level by collaborating with your esteemed gallery. I am 38 years old. I grew up in the vibrant capital of Iran, Tehran. My journey in the arts began early, leading me to study graphic design and interior design at the esteemed art school of Malēk áshtâr. Upon completing my studies there, I graduated from the renowned Kamalàlmölk Art Institute.
A year after graduation, my passion for visual storytelling led me to college, where I majored in filming and photography for cinema, ultimately earning an associate degree in photography. This qualification marked a significant step in my artistic career.
In pursuit of broader opportunities, I immigrated to the United States. In 2012, I embarked on a different educational path, enrolling at Everest College's chiropractic program at Kaiser Hospital in California's Reseda neighborhood. However, my dedication to art remained unwavering.
In 2014, my journey took me to Las Vegas, Nevada, where I had the enriching experience of collaborating with several talented local artists. This collaboration marked a period of creative expansion and exploration.
The “Crumpled Identities” is a collection of abstract and postmodernist portraits that describe and characterize individuals in society who are experiencing complexities and contradictions in their personalities and personal lives. These individuals may be grappling with mental health issues such as madness, anxiety, and behavioral problems. They may also be grappling with subjective feelings, challenges, conflicts, and concerns about their lifestyle, habits, and the hardships of their profession. These portraits are based on my personal observations and experiences.
The foundation, initially drawn by hand using the traditional pencil method, was subsequently sketched on paper and scanned and digitized for future refinement using professional art software. Given that the majority of the work is now performed digitally, I refer to these illustrations as digital illustrations. However, it is important to note that they are all drawn freehand in a continuous one-shot style, as described by me. The interpretations of the drawings undergo alterations when viewed from various angles or upside down, thereby altering the perspective.
Throughout my career, I've achieved significant milestones in photography and my drawings. My works have been showcased in various prestigious galleries across the town. Notably, I had the honor of presenting a solo exhibition at the renowned Perfect Darkness Studio in art district, Las Vegas, which drew attention for its innovative use of light and shadow. Another highlight was my participation in the "Iranian Artists in America" exhibition, which celebrated cultural fusion and received critical acclaim in the art community.
Moreover, my photography has been published in esteemed art and culture online blogs and magazines. further cementing my reputation in the artistic realm. I have also been nominated the online International Photography Award for "Best Emerging Photographer,".
In 2022, I expanded my professional repertoire by becoming a certified EMT. Despite the new skills and knowledge gained in this field, my passion for art remains the central pillar of my life, guiding both my career and personal interests. My commitment to art is a testament to its profound impact on my journey, continually inspiring me to push the boundaries of creativity and expression.
